Hand-drawn wall assemblies and envelope details

Completed in Spring 2023 at University of Colorado Denver for my BS architecture, this collection of hand-drawn technical studies examines wall assemblies, cladding systems, and critical building envelope conditions. Drafted to scale on graph paper, the drawings emphasize line weight hierarchy, material hatching, and precise annotation.

Each drawing investigates the layered complexity of wall construction, from structure to finish. Assemblies include stucco systems with control joints, EIFS detailing, brick veneer, GFRC panels, precast curtain wall connections, and mullion anchors to structural framing. Scales vary between 1/8”, ¼”, and ½” to communicate both overall systems and refined junction conditions.

The studies clarify material transitions, moisture control strategies, and attachment methods. Executed entirely by hand, these drawings highlight technical fluency and an understanding of how buildings are assembled.
